Soleron Energy has reached the next level: our aggregated portfolio now includes 4 MW of capacity that has successfully passed prequalification and is offered 24/7 to the frequency reserves market. Recently we completed the integration with the capacity market module, which enables us to earn additional revenue during hours when balancing services are not required.

Soleron Energy has recently completed a two-phase project that helps the client maximize the use of renewable energy and achieve stable and profitable energy production.

The profitability of energy storage depends on its purpose and application, whether it is ensuring supply security, achieving grid independence, or generating revenue. For example, storage can be beneficial in off-grid solutions, during power outages, for optimizing solar energy use, or participating in frequency reserve markets. The payback period is influenced by the size of the investment, the efficiency of storage management and electricity price fluctuations.

The frequency reserve market in Estonia ensures the stability of the electricity grid by balancing production and consumption. The growth of renewable energy and the desynchronization from the Russian grid increase the demand for fast reserve solutions. The system operator utilizes automated reserves, and the market enables participants to provide additional capacity through storage systems and flexibility, enhancing grid efficiency and supporting the integration of renewable energy.
