The storage solution for residential buildings is predominantly integrated with a solar power system and can store excess electricity produced by solar panels during the day that exceeds consumption. Smart energy storage management is an important aid in achieving energy independence, reducing electricity bills, and providing backup power during power outages or emergencies.
Energy consumption in residential buildings varies, as does the nature of consumption. The storage solution makes consumption flexible and efficient. An algorithm-based control system decides, based on initial data, when it is practical to consume from the grid and when from batteries, and when it is practical to sell electricity back to the grid. The storage needs for residential buildings depend on the grid connection, consumption patterns, solar power system capacity, and the building’s energy efficiency, but generally, it is reasonable to install storage in the range of 15-60 kWh.
Residential energy storage is practical to solve with a controllable inverter, which can connect both batteries and an electric car charger. Based on the client’s needs, we offer a lower voltage (LV) battery solution, which has 48-51.2 V batteries connected in parallel. The options include Hysone 100 A (5.14 kWh) or 200 A (10.24 kWh) battery banks, for which we recommend using a Deye LV inverter for grid connection. The optimal capacity of the system is up to 40 kWh.
The Megarevo product series includes H3-series 3-phase high voltage (HV) inverters suitable for small residential buildings (8kW, 10kW, 12kW, and 15kW), which are compatible with single-phase and three-phase loads and support 100% unbalanced load. The maximum efficiency reaches up to 97.9%.
